I know how important it is to have a list of recommended resources, and tools…especially when you are first starting out. Following are some of the tools and products I have used for a while, or have recently started using with positive results. A lot of the recommended resources have free versions. Time & Productivity Management
Strengthsfinder 2.0
Do you know what your true Strengths are? If not, its time to read “StrenghtsFinder 2.0” by Tom Rath. The book introduces 34 strengths, from which we all have our top 5. The point is to focus on your strengths, instead of your weaknesses. This is my GO TO book when I am interviewing people and coaching clients. I learn a lot about how we can utilize our combined strengths to accomplish projects and goals.
Presentations & Websites
If you are looking for a way to bring your Powerpoint or Keynote Presentations to life, Presenter Media is a great source. I recently started using them and have been pleased!
I have a couple of web hosting companies I really like, and have been using for a while. Host Gator is one. It is a great platform to host your site at a reasonable cost. I also like the fact that they are big on being a “Green and Sustainable” Company.
Bluehost is the other hosting company I enjoy using. Their platform is one of the most popular with business owners using WordPress to build their sites. The company also has many other robust services for companies to consider as they expand.
Business Structure & Formation
A simple and clean area to title the other sections of your page with a bit more style.
CorpNet
CorpNet is a great source for establishing your business or organization structure. They specialize in all business formations: LLC, S-Corps, C-Corps, DBAs, Non-Profits and others. They also provide trademark services. The cost is reasonable compared to going through an attorney. They provide business structure services in all 50 states.
